Custom work has a production queue, and December is the busiest month of the year for carriers. Production takes 2 to 5 business days and US shipping takes 3 to 7 days after that. Order by December 12 to have it under the tree. After that you are relying on luck rather than on a plan.

Choosing as a gift

Use a last name rather than a first name so the sign belongs to the household. Pick black unless you already know their porch has a colour. And go one size larger than feels comfortable — almost every piece of seasonal decor that looks wrong is too small for where it hangs.
