Collection: Eagle Metal Wall Art

Eagle wall art in laser cut steel

The eagle is the design people reach for when they want something patriotic that is not a flag. Cut from 16 gauge American steel, the negative space in the feathers is what makes these read well from a distance — it is the detail that separates a laser cut piece from a stamped one.

Indoor or outdoor

Both. Powder coat is cured into a hard shell rather than sprayed on top, so these hold their finish through sun, rain and snow. Outdoors, use exterior rated hardware and leave a small gap behind the sign so water drains and air can move.

Personalizing it

Many of these take a family name at the centre. A name turns a generic patriotic piece into something about one household, which is usually the difference between a gift that gets hung and one that gets thanked for.

Where it works

Above a garage door, on a porch wall, by a flag pole, in an office, or over a mantel. Contrast decides legibility more than colour does: black reads against light siding and pale walls, while copper or white reads better on dark brick.

Sizing

For an exterior wall seen from the street, start at 30 inches. Indoors above furniture, leave 6 to 10 inches between the furniture and the bottom of the sign.
